Delaware County Daily Times (Primos - Upper Darby, PA) - Tuesday, August 31, 1999

Between the $900 collected Saturday at a benefit and a $5,000 offering by a Prospect Park builder yesterday, the Katelyn Rivera -Helton Reward Fund is growing.

Davoud Baravordeh, of DB Enterprise Builders, announced his offering as a means of giving back to the community. He'd been reading the chronicles of Katelyn and the plight of her mother in the XXXXXXDaily Times.XXXXX

""Somebody knows what happened to that little girl. I just like to give back to the community and that girl is a part of this community,'' said Baravordeh, who paid the bill in 1997 for a then-7-year-old boy who was attacked by a dog and bit in the face to go to Disney World in Florida.

Annemarie Jowder, manager of the RS Club in Woodlyn who organizeda weekend benefit, only knew how much was raised by ticket sales at the door and raffle purchases.

No one told her how many tickets sold in advance.

At the end of the night, she said she gave the Helton family $900 cash.
