Search finds no clues to Katelyn's whereabouts

LOWER CHICHESTER -- There is still no trace of little Katelyn Rivera-Helton.

Seventeen days after the toddler was snatched from her babysitter's home, police are still looking for leads as to her whereabouts.

It was Aug. 10 that police say her father, Robert N. Rivera, 33, kidnapped the toddler. Rivera turned himself into police the next day, saying he gave the 20-month-old child to a couple at Longwood Gardens in Chester County.

An intensive search has yet to turn up information on the child.

Rivera is in Delaware County Prison on $10,000 cash bail. He is awaiting a hearing on charges he assaulted Katelyn's mother, Jennifer Helton, at a Wawa parking lot before kidnapping the baby minutes later.
